The call for banning motorcycles in major cities in Vietnam has been longstanding, and various preferential policies have been introduced to promote the "oil-to-electric" transition for two-wheeled vehicles. It is expected that the share of motorcycles converted from oil to electricity will increase by 20% by 2025. Although the market for electric two-wheeled vehicles (known as "electric motorcycles" in Vietnam) has entered a saturation period, the total demand is still expected to exceed 2.7 million units per year during the period from 2023 to 2030.
